Hi, I’m Byron, a professional dog trainer and owner of Guardian K9 Academy. I’m passionate about helping dogs and their owners build strong, lasting relationships through clear communication, structure, and trust.
Before launching Guardian K9 Academy, I served in the United States Army as a Military Working Dog Handler (31K), where I learned the value of discipline, teamwork, and the incredible capabilities of working dogs. My military experience provided extensive hands-on training with high-drive working dogs and reinforced the importance of building a reliable bond between handler and canine.
Today, I specialize in helping dogs of all breeds and ages develop better obedience, confidence, and behavior both at home and in public. Whether you're looking for basic obedience, behavior modification, service dog training, scent work, or advanced training, my goal is to help you create a well-mannered, confident companion that can thrive in the real world.

This is Koda,She is a very sweet German Shepherd/Heeler mix with people. My problem was she was very aggressive with other dogs across the fence and on a leash at stores. We really wanted her to be able to be around other dogs and go for walks in public places. After just one session Byon had her accepting dogs by a fence and actually walking by other aggressive dogs barking without reaction. I was absolutely shocked. It was my moment like you see on the TV with the trainer in CA. My husband couldn’t believe it either. She had been in training for a couple of months with a different trainer prior without hardly any progress. My son came over one day and without knowing about her training came in and said “Wow, Koda is like a different dog.” We have horses and now Bryon is working with us on getting her to be okay and not aggressive with the horses. He is calm, gentle and effective! We are so excited to have found him!
